The Irish Game Fair at Shanes Castle has always been a wonderful day out for the whole family attracting visitors from across the globe.
This year the Irish Game Fair is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before, with a diverse range of trade and interest stands, action packed arena programme, including a medieval jousting tournament and the living history village, with an array of craft and fine food stands.
At the heart of this years show is The Antrim Fly Fair created by Stevie Munn and the Irish Fly Team.
There’s something for everyone from beginners to experienced anglers.
The fly dressers pavilion will host some of the finest and well respected fly tyers from the UK and Ireland. Fly casting demonstrations throughout the day from leading tackle companies, including try before you buy.

Fly casting competitions
Young anglers can try fishing at the popular put-and-take rainbow trout fishery run by the NSN conservation group, headed up by Bobby Byrans and his brilliant team.
A huge floored marquee is the place to see the top brands in fly fishing, including a massive selection of fly-tying materials. Susan Brown will be heading up a section on entomology.
