Screen Shot 2019-11-18 at 11.45.35The position of ghillie has become available on the West Learmouth beat on Lower Tweed to take effect from the 1st of May 2020.

This is a top class beat on Lower Tweed beat with huge potential for the new ghillie to really make a difference. The beat historically has a reputation of being one of the top beats for catches per rod on Tweed and the new ghillie will take on the challenge of getting the beat back to it’s best from a customer services perspective.

The role will be full time during the season and will reduce to a maintenance role during the off season.

The applicant should be physically fit, capable and have experience of working as a ghillie, with proven good communication and customer service skills and have a keen interest in fishing.

Hours of work: 48 hours per week (6 days, Monday to Saturday) from 1st May to 31st October. For the period 1st November to 30th April there will be the opportunity for limited hours to undertake winter maintenance.
