Kemnay Angling Club, River Don

Sep 23, 2019 | Uncategorized

image001Kemnay Angling Club has had one of its best seasons this year with an excellent start to the Spring with several salmon landed and some cracking trout also being picked off. Members and visiting rods have shared in the success.

The season has continued to produce salmon throughout for those who have ventured out whilst the grilse run has slowed over recent weeks with lower water conditions, cooler evenings are now starting to turn salmon back onto the take.

Trout fishing is in its final days and some lager resident browns have been stirred from their lairs in recent weeks looking to bulk up for the forthcoming spawning and winter season.

The club water offers a variety of pools to fish during different water heights, access is easy and wading straightforward where required. Members retain the fishing for the month of October so these last few days of September are all that available for the remainder of the season for visiting rods. Fishing permits.
