Introduction To River Fishing 8-18 years

Tuition from qualified instructors 

To celebrate the “Year of the Salmon” Scottish Youth and the Countryside Education Trust (SYCET) in conjunction with BASC are holding an introduction to the conservation of salmon for young people on Meikleour Beat, River Tay, on Sunday 9th June, 2019.

The day will include:

Casting demonstrations and tuition for beginners to advanced.
Fly tying and fishing with the fly you have tied for trout.
River Safety
Management of a fishing beat
Insect collection and identification
Salmon conservation
Trout fishing
Casting accuracy competition.

All equipment will be provided and tuition is from qualified instructors.
The day includes refreshments and lunch.
Starts at 10.00am and will finish around 3.00pm
Event location, Meikleour Fishing, downstream of Dunkeld (PH1 4QW)

This free event is open to young people aged 8-18.
Those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
