2019 Tay Opening

15895758_939508482817671_3243667950524967142_oThe Tay and District Salmon Fishery Board are delighted to announce that explorer Polly Murray, first Scottish woman to summit Mount Everest, will be opening the River Tay on Tuesday 15th January. Meikleour Fishing will be hosting the event by Kinclaven Bridge, PH1 4QW.

Polly Murray is a volunteer ambassador for the rural education charity Countryside Learning Scotland. They are currently working on an ambitious program to implement a Scottish Angling National Development Structure in partnership with several river boards and trusts, the TDSFB being one of them.

All anglers are invited to fish the Meikleour & Upper Islamouth beat after the ceremony for a £10 donation to Angling for Youth Development (pre-booking essential). Please contact Betty by email: bm@meikleour.com to fish Meikleour Fishing on opening day.
