Craigellachie lies at the lower end of beautiful Strathspey. The village itself is some 400 feet above sea level and is surrounded by hills and woodland of stunning beauty overlooking the River Spey. The River at this point is 17 miles from the sea and
25 miles from Grantown on Spey. The historic 1814 Telford Bridge provides a magnificent backdrop for those fishing the Bridge Pool.

The fishings extend to approximately 2 1⁄2 miles. There are 2 beats, each of which is fished every day with changeover at 1pm. Each beat fishes 4 rods and each has a well appointed fishing hut complete with flushing toilet and ample parking area. The fishings are now managed by three elected rod owners and include the services of 2 experienced Ghillies and boat.

There are 15 named pools, marked on the beat map.

The huts are shown on the Beat Map.
