Ladies Salmon Fishing Course on the Tay

May 9, 2018 | Where To Fish

fotonicDue to the demand and further interest Glenda Powell will be running a second Ladies Salmon fishing Course starting on Monday July 2nd (arriving Sunday evening) and running for 3 days/4 nights and departing the Tayside Hotel on the morning of the 5th July. The course will be run near Perth on Kercock beat.

There will be a maximum of 6 ladies on the course and the entire beat has been reserved for the 3 days, to give lots of space and full use of the fantastic hut to enable learning.

The course content will include casting with double handed rods and single handed rods.  Glenda will cover all the Roll/Spey casts, knot tying, safety around water and safe wading techniques, the salmon lifecycle, taking times and which flies to use for different water heights/colour and temperature.

You will be staying at the Tayside Hotel which is only 10 minutes from Kercock on a single occupancy basis. The price includes breakfast, packed lunch for the river and an evening meal.

Glenda is hugely excited about running this 2nd course on the River Tay.

The total cost of the package for the 4 nights accommodation with meals and the 3 day fly fishing for salmon course including fishing and equipment if required is €800.

This course is based on learning but also it is about enjoying your fishing and having a good time on the water with other women.  I will be happy to welcome you to this course – more information.
