This year’s Gordon Castle Highland Games and Country Fair will be held over two days, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May.
Visitors to Saturday’s fair will step back in time as the estate pays homage to the Castle’s heyday and the influence Speyside and Moray has across the world. Focusing on traditional skills, dress, music and agriculture from 1900s – 1940s, the day will including rare breeds, heavy horses and none other than the amazing racing pigs! Complete with a new vintage village and speakeasy session. Saturday will also include a charity ‘We’re a Knockout’ competition, in collaboration with Moray Licensed Traders, raising money for Alzheimers Scotland.
On Sunday the traditional Highland Games returns and, for the first time, they will host the Scottish 28lb Weight for Distance championships! The Games also welcomes terrier racing, gun dog displays, falconry and – new for 2017 – racing pigs!
