Spring season is off with a bang with some fantastic large fish being caught on out rivers. Water temperature are well above average and fish are taking full advantage of this and moving up stream in good numbers.
Most have you are on floating lines with different density rates of tips by now and dress double are catching many fish. With that in mind here are a few flies I would have to hand in the month ahead.
For the far North and those peaty water the Highlander Cascade is a standout pattern.
The Spey is having another remarkable season and one of my favourite patterns is the “S” Whitey which has been a prolific catcher over the last few seasons.
