14650074_600793553436988_5061652890372488773_nUnited Clyde Angling Protective Association (UCAPA) are celebrating 130 years of conservation on the River Clyde in Scotland.

Fishing permits have just been added to the FishPal site and at only £15 for a days salmon fishing, we believe it’s a great incentive to fish this hidden Scottish gem.

Atlantic salmon have been returning to the Clyde in reasonable numbers for some years   Their return is a great success story and testament to the hard work carried out by our volunteers. UCAPA relies on the good will of volunteers who help run and maintain the fishery, from scientific surveys to grass cutting and much more.

The association have some of the best Brown Trout fishing in Scotland if not in the UK. From sheltered area’s in the valley to the open spaces on the Upper Clyde, anglers can enjoy some great sport during summer months chasing big brownies sipping on tiny flies from the surface.

UCAPA water also has a plentiful stock of grayling.

All funds raised through the sale of fishing permits are wisely re-invested on the management of UCAPA licensed waters – buy your permit and support the conservation of salmon, trout and grayling.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RIVER CLYDE HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO CAT 2 WHICH ALLOWS 3 TAGS TO BE ISSUED WITH SEASON TICKETS ONLY.

Thank you to the UCAPA Facebook page for all the photographs in this post.
