Tenkara describes Japanese fly fishing with just rod, line and fly.
An open day for members and non-members to learn, share and network in an open and friendly atmosphere about the tenkara method and approach to fixed line fly fishing.
The day will provide an opportunity to gain familiarity with tenkara rods, level lines, tenkara flies, the cast, presentation, fly manipulations, and bringing a fish to hand. Members and non-members can try their skills fishing for the good head of grayling that the River Nidd holds. Maps and clubs rules will be available on the day. Day tickets for non-members cost £8.00.
