The Tontine Hotel – a Great Catch!

Are you looking for an action packed fishing break?  If so, the Tontine Hotel  with its enviable location beside the River Tweed in Peebles is a great catch.

The Tweed is world-renowned for its salmon fishing, and deservedly so, but the sea trout, wild brown trout and grayling found in this Borders gem are just as worthy of attention. What this means for any visiting fly-fisher is a stunning river which can be fished the year-round.

On hand to provide instruction, guiding and information is Hardy Academy member and regular Trout & Salmon contributor Finlay Wilson. He can advise on the best options depending on conditions/time of year and has access to fishing on the whole of the Tweed system. Fishing can also be arranged on three miles of private water a short drive from hotel.

And after an exhilarating day in the great outdoors you can recharge your batteries and enjoy the excellent food, friendly well stocked bar, roaring fires and comfortable en-suite rooms.  With the fishing expertise, drying room, secure storage for rods and equipment as well as private parking, the Tontine provides everything a fisherman could want.

Our Fishing Rates start from £55 per person per night for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast.

These rates are based on 2 people sharing a standard twin or double room, Sunday through Thursday and are strictly subject to availability.  Suppliments apply for Friday and Saturday nights, room upgrades and Single occupancy. Minimum 2 night stay.

All that remains is for you to decide when to come fishing.  Telephone us on 01721 720892 or Email us on to BOOK your Tweed fishing break.
