The famous Burnbane beat raising money for charity

WP_000380We are delighted to announce the sale of six, four rod days on the famous Burnbane beat on the middle Tay courtesy of Duncan Glass Esq to support the work of the Tay Ghillies Association charity.

The beat is over 1 mile long is famous as the beat where Miss Georgina Ballantyne landed (not hooked) her 64lb Tay salmon in 1922, the pool is known as Sparrowmuir. Another well known pool is Burnbane pool and a great fly-water is the Saltholes pool. The beat is over a mile long down stream of the Caputh Bridge.

Burbane Beat TayThe Tay Ghillies Association is a recognised Scottish Charity with the aim to improve the Tay’s Atlantic Salmon stocks.

The days are bank only although a boat and Ghillie can be arranged for an additional fee.

The four rod dates and prices are as follows –
Aug 6th £160 for four rods
Aug 20th £160 for four rods
Sep 10th £160 for four rods
Oct 18th £200 for four rods c&r
Oct 21st £200 for four rods c&r
Oct 28th £200 for four rods c&r
