Away from your computer, but still needing river levels, catches and rod availability? FishPal’s new App will help you out.
What does it do?
The app shows the following information for rivers on the FishPal system, pages are updated hourly:
This weeks catches – Listed by day and beat
Todays River levels – Spot heights and graphs for last 24hrs
Rod availability – with links to Booking engine
Beat information – Including description & letting conditions
Local facilities – Eg Where to stay with relevant contact links
This is the first salmon fishing app of its kind in the UK and possibly in the world too. At the moment it is in BETA testing mode, which means that you are welcome to use it, but there may be some things that need to smoothed out or developed further.
The app works on all major platforms and can be downloaded by using your phone’s browser. You can’t find it in the app stores please follow the link for more information.
The three water gauging station on the Annan main river near Moffat is missing. The height it supplies applies to the Annan from Moffat to where the Kinnel joins the main stem south of Applegarth.
Thought – having the beats in order from the top of the river to the bottom makes more sense for a visitor than simply alphabetical order. I do that on my site and you do it on yours so it would be good to have it on your App as well – excellent idea BTW
