Styford beat upstream of Bywell, is a picturesque one mile, mainly double banked beat, offering 11 pools, for three rods, with availability for fishing on Sunday.
The fishing has been enjoyed by the same family for over 100 years. The fishing is suitable for all ages and all abilities. Salmon are caught throughout the year with February and March seeing some good catches in recent years.
Fishing is restricted to fly although spinners are allowed in high water conditions. Chest wading experience is preferable but not essential. It is strongly recommended that a wading pole and buoyancy device are used at all times when wading.
195 salmon and 45 sea trout reported catch in 2012
Excellent Spring fishing
Availability is limited to Saturday and Sunday’s, which we expect to sell very quickly
