Do you fancy a day’s salmon fishing on some of the best beats on the River Tyne and in doing so help raise money for the Youth Against Crime Awards. The High Sheriff of Northumberland Harriet Benson is holding a Fishing Auction and Raffle with rods generously donated by The Tyne Riparian Owners and Occupiers Association.
Mrs Benson said: “I believe that the fishing community of Northumberland should be valued and celebrated, as it is my opinion that the Tyne Valley hold some of the most beautiful and enjoyable fishing beats in England.”
Each ticket purchased will be placed in the draw* for a days salmon fishing on the River Tyne, for two rods during 2013. The current list includes the following: Snabdough, Hesleyside, Chollerton, Newton, Riverdale, The Green and Lee Hall, The Birks, Leezes Estate, Netherwarden, Haughton, with more beats to be confirmed.
