Treat yourself and the kids to a day on the river or stillwater whether its fishing for trout or salmon there is something for everyone in Scotland. There are fabulous fishing destinations to choose from which can cater for all the family including non angling members of the party.

Northumbrian Waters premier fisheries offer Free junior fishing (18 and under) upon purchase of a adult ticket.  Kielder Water complex offers fishing and something for the family, including Leaplish Waterside Park with a indoor pool, childrens play areas, ferry rides, mini golf etc.

Fontburn fishery has a reputation of being a friendly, family orientated fishery, within easy reach of Tyneside offering excellent fishing for fly and bait anglers. For more details of all Northumbrian Waters fisheries please visit the following website.

If you are interested in having a go at fly fishing Axwell Park and Derwent Valley Angling Association are hosting on Sunday 15th April a free try it day on the river. The angling association has access to approx. 4.5 miles brown trout fishing on the Lower River Derwent priced at £8.00.
