Gows of Dundee for fishing & shooting

Gows of Dundee established in 1860 by John R Gow. In the early days, Gows were renowned manufacturers and retailers of fine fishing tackle and guns.

John R Gow was responsible for inventing and developing the ‘Try Gun’, a template that enabled customers to be accurately measured for the perfect fit. This method is still used across the world as a industry standard.

Situated on the banks of the river Tay, Gows became synonymous with fishing tackle development and manufacturing, with many pieces now sought after by collector’s. Whilst Gows no longer manufactures they still have a reputation for stocking the latest products and the very best customer service.
