Ballidalloch Estate, River Spey availability now on FishPal

Set amid the beautiful scenery of Speyside, the fishing available at Ballindalloch rank among the best in Scotland.

The Rivers Spey and Avon flow through the grounds and offer excellent fishing. The Ballindalloch beat on the River Spey is the best known middle beat on the river. Its two miles of double-bank fishing includes the famous Junction Pool. The Estate also owns six miles of excellent salmon and sea trout fishing on the River Avon.

The Estate is owned by the Macpherson-Grant family and is centred around Ballindalloch Castle the family home since 1546, which is open to the public. With the Castle at its centre, the Estate contains three attractive houses that can be used to accommodate sporting parties, corporate guests and holiday visitors.

Fishing is divided into 3 beats.

The Ballindalloch beat offers anglers double bank fishing and marches with Tulchan D and Pitchroy. 6 rods and ghillie.

The Pitchroy beat offers anglers double bank fishing and marches with Ballindalloch and Knockando.  4 rods and ghillie.

The Lower Avon offers anglers double bank fishing with the exception of the top two beats, the beat marches with Crown Estate and Ballindalloch. 6 rotating beats of 2 rods each and ghillie.
