River Sog is the largest spring fed river in Iceland and is renowned for its beautiful surroundings. The River has a high percentage of MSW salmon and a good number of Arctic char.
In recent years the River Sog has had an average catch of about 400-500 salmon but has improved enormously since the fishing nets were pulled out of the river Hvita below the Sog.
Record breaking salmon fishing season in 2010 with more than 1300 salmon caught in only 105 days on the River Sog.
