Salmon Fishing availability March and April

I have just added salmon fishing for the Rivers Dee and Tay from as little as £49.00 a day. This is excellent value for money when you have the services of Ghillie and a fishing hut. If you want to fish somewhere you haven’t been to before, then a Ghillie can make all the difference between success and failure

River Tay: Murthly Beat 1 and Murthly Beat 2 are two of the best fly fishing waters on the Tay. These beats fish well throughout the season. Many spring salmon seem to make their first stop in the Murthly area. The beat is set among stunning woodland scenery with impressive stands of mature Douglas Fir and other species giving the whole beat a very grand feel. There is one ghillie on the beat and one boat but much of the river can easily and safely be fished by wading, especially in low water. There is also a comfortable hut on each beat with full facilities. For more day rods on the River Tay system please click

River Dee: Waterside and Ferrar beat has 6.4 kilometres (4 miles) of magnificent fishing, with 14 named pools, fished from both banks. It is in a beautiful area with a mixture of open fields and trees. Fishing is available by the week, part week or on a daily basis.  5 huts and shared ghillie.
