English Fishing added

Today we have added salmon fishing on English rivers and rainbow trout fishing on English still waters.


Consett near Durham: Derwent Reservoir is one of the most attended game fisheries in the country attracting over 10,000 angler visits last year. The fishery enjoys the combination of lots of bank space with easy access and gentle sloping banks. Durham: Aldin Grange within 20 acres of picturesque and peaceful farmland. Aldin Grange boasts five well stocked lakes brimming with fish – 2 trout (fly only), 2 coarse and 1 competition (match only). Our Trout Fishing Lakes (Troutmaster Water) are fly only (barbless), with rainbow, brown and blue trout varying in size from the smaller 1lb fish to the larger 15lb fish. Bishop Auckland. Witton Castle Lakes over 20 acres of water situated in a large area of parkland in the grounds of Witton Castle Country Park. There are three fly-only lakes and a small worm and sweetcorn water. With easy access and clear banks the fishery never appears crowded. The water is clear and offers good dry fly fishing as well as excellent buzzer angling. Lures also work well throughout the year. For more information please click

River Tyne: Bywell Beat comprises 2½ miles of river with a fine mixture of long fast running powerful pools flowing into good tail runs along with one or two longer stretches of slower water which fish well during high water levels. For more information please click

North Tyne, near Bellingham. Snabdough is a very accessible single/right-bank fishery just over half-a-mile long with good fly and holding water. For more information please click

North Tyne, near Chollerford. Chesters is a famous beat downstream from Chollerford Bridge and past the Roman Baths, double bank fishing with good fly water and boat and huts. A very highly regarded water, Chesters fishes from late March onwards. The stretch is divided into 2 beats with 2 rods on each beat. For more information please click
